The Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G has been designed using the latest advanced audio analysis technology to create a wide and smooth frequency response curve with crisp highs and powerful deep bass. You get great sounding music, extremely clear voice tracks and all the detail of effects tracks! Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G is powerful and loud enough to hear your audio in noisy environments, such as broadcast equipment rooms that have a lot of cooling fan noise.

Precision Metering

Know your audio levels at all times

The two big bright audio level meters on the front panel feature multi colored RGB LEDs under each segment. You can select between VU or PPM or Loudness scales with a choice of EBU or BBC meters. With lots of meter segments you can monitor a very wide dynamic range, from -45 to +3 decibels, -12 to +12, or 0 to 7, depending on the scale you choose. In addition you can meter Loudness using standard Loudness, K-weighted, relative to Full Scale (LKFS) to normalize of levels for delivery to broadcast TV and video. The bright audio level meters are always clear enough to read, no matter if you are working in bright or dark environments!

Dedicated Compositing Inputs

Ultimatte 12 features 7 different input connections with loop outputs that are used to composite different elements together. These include foreground and background, along with holdout and garbage mattes, as well as additional layer inputs for superimposing additional images over the composited image. Ultimatte 12 even lets you use sources that are not synchronized when working with static shots!

When you’re working live and have multiple cameras shooting from different angles, it’s common for the green or blue screen to suffer from variations. The keyers built into live production switchers use the same keying parameters for all cameras, which complicates keying and image quality because each camera sees the green screen a little differently. Ultimatte 12 eliminates these problems with incredible new technology at an affordable price so it’s now possible to add keyers to every camera. That ensures you always get the best possible key! With the power of a dedicated keyer on every camera, Ultimatte 12 is perfect for live broadcast news, weather, sports, virtual studios and more!

Optical Scaling and Sub-Pixel Processing

Incredible conversions between SD, HD and Ultra HD!

Teranex converters can perform up and down conversions between NTSC or PAL SD, 720 or 1080 HD and Ultra HD. They feature a wide range of aspect ratio options and real time, optical quality scaling algorithms that simulate an optical zoom. Sub-pixel processing and multi-directional diagonal filters are also used to eliminate “jaggies.” That means you get the cleanest looking conversions and images retain as much detail and clarity as possible!

High Quality De-Interlace

Smart Remote 4 features physical buttons so you can switch and control any attached Ultimatte 12. There are also buttons for quickly loading and saving presets, along with a touchscreen that gives you total control over every parameter. It’s easy to design your own custom control solutions for Ultimatte 12 because it uses a simple, open text based protocol. You can even Telnet into Ultimatte 12 over your network, so you can develop and test custom control solutions.
