What resolution does the 4K30 card encode?
It accepts HDMI 2.0b sources up to 4K@30 4:4:4 (18 Gbps) and encodes true Ultra-HD in HEVC, H.264, or MJPEG. For 4K at 60 fps or SDI input, choose the 4K60 broadcast card.
Why choose HEVC over H.264 for 4K?
HEVC (H.265) delivers the same picture quality at roughly one-quarter the bitrate of H.264. For 4K that means far less network and internet bandwidth, letting you reach more viewers or run more channels on the same connection.
Can it stream to multiple destinations at once?
Yes — up to 4 simultaneous streams, each with its own compression, resolution, bitrate, and protocol. Send a high-quality 4K stream to a video wall and a lighter stream to mobile devices at the same time.
Does it support SRT?
Yes. SRT ultra-low-latency (down to 50 ms plus network travel time) is built in, alongside RTMP(S), HLS, HTTP, RTSP, RTP, FLV, ONVIF, and UDP/RTP unicast and multicast.
How many viewers can it serve directly?
The built-in 1 Gb unicast server supports hundreds of concurrent viewers depending on bitrate. For unlimited audiences, send one stream to YouTube, AWS, or any platform, or use multicast for unlimited devices on a capable network.
Can I distribute this 4K channel over coax?
Yes — add the INFINIUM 4K-over-coax RF module to the chassis and the 4K30 channel is delivered as a real digital TV channel over existing coax to any 4K television, with no set-top box.
Does it require the INFINIUM chassis?
Yes. The 4K30 card installs in the INFINIUM 4K Video Distribution Chassis, which supplies power, cooling, redundancy, and the network/RF backplane.
